Highway Obstruction

                             Good Evening 

                                Officers from Rossendale Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Road policing Team have been out on Grane Road Haslingden. We have received numerous complaints about vehicles blocking the pavement to the extent that pedestrians have had to walk in the road to get past. 

                                The vehicles appear to belong to persons attending the Quarry due to the recent Hot temperatures in an attempt to swim in the open water. They are parking their vehicles up on the highway with little or no consideration for pedestrians or local residents. Officers attended the area to find numerous vehicles had completely blocked a long section of the pavement making it impossible for wheelchairs or prams to pass.

                                Due to this behaviour the vehicles in question where all issued with a fixed penalty notice for unlawfully blocking a highway. #yousaidwedid
